Montessori is a continuum of education that allows your child to build upon experiences each year. The Primary program is a 2 year program, including the traditional “kindergarten year” – when the seeds of learning come to fruition. Reading and writing come to life from sounds and symbols. He is introduced to numbers and the decimal system. He learns about geometric figures and the political countries of our world. He leaves the program with a strong set of academic skills; but, far more importantly, with the attitude that learning is fun, exciting and boundless.
Monday - Friday (5 days/week)
Full Extended: 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
Academic Schedule: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Student’s who stay for our Kindergarten / Elementary program have the third year of the primary curriculum to build on and continue their learning through individualized learning plans created by the Directress. She will help your child balance new lessons while practicing previously mastered lessons in Language, Math and Cultural and bring the learning into the lower elementary curriculum. In addition, the Kindergarten/ Elementary students will work on a monthly learning project to demonstrate an area of their focused learning throughout the month. PE, Gardening, Social Skills and Virtues & Values are also part of the older student’s curriculum throughout the day.
